Science of Living - Purpose
The Science of Living Institute/Seminary is
an outgrowth of the teaching and ministry of Dr. Frederick
Eikerenkoetter (better known as “Rev. Ike”). It
is the educational arm of Christ Community United Church.
Its main purpose is to afford the student the opportunity
to:
1. Become familiar with, and aware of, the laws (principles)
of life;
2. Become more aware of who and what he/she is in God and
Who and What God is in him/her;
3. Develop and/or alter his/her self-image;
4. Understand the power of thought;
5. Develop his/her powers of self-expression through exercises
in listening, speaking, and writing;
6. Develop himself/herself spiritually;
7. Develop the whole person.
The curriculum is designed to meet the students’ needs
in the Science of Living philosophy and the Business of Living.
